What the free GSB course covers
The course has 32 core lessons in seven modules. Three optional courses add 21 more lessons on Trademaid's add-ons: GSB Automation, the Enhanced Walk-Forward Optimizer (EWFO) and Portfolio Analyst Pro. That makes 53 lessons in all.
It starts with installing the trial and ends with taking a system live. Each lesson is a short video that goes click by click, so you can pause and copy what you see.

An algorithmic trading course built around futures
GSB is built around futures and EasyLanguage-style platforms, and the course follows Trademaid's own futures examples. Modules 1 and 2 use a natural gas settings file that comes with GSB, so you don't need your own data to start.
Module 7 follows Trademaid's quick guide for natural gas, then shows the same two-macro pattern on the Nasdaq. The methods match the Strategy Guide and Trademaid's market case studies, such as index futures day trading.
The aim is a repeatable method, not a ready-made system. You learn to build systems with genetic search, check them on data they weren't built on with a walk-forward, and judge whether a result is curve-fitted.
The optional add-on courses
These three courses are for people who own the matching Trademaid add-on. Each lesson links to the matching section of the written guide.
- GSB Automation course (8 lessons): install Automation, build a command sequence, read the summary spreadsheet, and test secondary filters, entry modes, sessions, bar intervals and days of the week. See the GSB Automation guide.

How the lessons work
- Click by click. Lessons give the exact values to use, and say which settings to leave on their defaults for now.
- Video plus written guide. Each core lesson links to the matching page of the Strategy Guide, so you can read it as well as watch it.
- Progress tracking. Mark each lesson as done and pick up where you left off.
- A course assistant. Each lesson has a button to ask the AI assistant about it.
- A 14-day trial plan. It sets out what to do each day, so you've built and tested a real system before the trial ends.
Education, not advice
The course teaches method. It doesn't tell you what to trade. Any back-test or walk-forward result in the lessons is hypothetical, on past data.

- Anyone on the GSB trial who wants a plan for the 14 days.
- New GSB owners, and people who looked at GSB before and found it complicated.

Be honest with yourself about the limits. GSB is Windows only and has a steeper learning curve than some tools. The course exists to flatten that curve, but it still takes time.

- A free GSB Pro account. It holds the course, the trial plan and your progress.
- The GSB trial from Trademaid. It's free for 14 days on up to 2 Windows machines. The trial has a smaller indicator set than the full version, and GSB Automation needs a GSB licence.

Frequently asked questions
Is the GSB course really free?
Yes. All 53 lessons come with a free GSB Pro account. GSB itself is free for the 14-day trial and costs US$1,500 from Trademaid if you buy it.
Do I need to buy GSB to take the course?
No. You can follow the core lessons on the free 14-day trial. The trial has a smaller indicator set, GSB Automation needs a licence, and the add-on courses assume you own that add-on.
Can I build a trading strategy without coding?
Yes. GSB builds the systems, and the lessons go click by click. When you export, GSB writes the code for TradeStation, MultiCharts or NinjaTrader 8.
Does the course work for futures like NQ, CL or GC?
Yes. GSB is built around futures, and the lessons follow Trademaid's futures examples, such as natural gas and the Nasdaq. The same method applies to other futures markets.
Does GSB run on a Mac?
No. GSB is Windows only, so you need a Windows PC to follow the lessons.
